Our program prepares students to deal with issues of automotive performance. Once completed, these students will have the knowledge to troubleshoot and repair fundamental and advanced automotive failures. Automotive Technology is constantly progressing as new developments in science appear, and our class teaches the basics of electronics, mechanics, controls, and more.  We work closely with companies within the automotive industry to maintain a level of relevance in order for our students to have the best chances at employment and advancement opportunities.

Transportation Careers

Careers in this cluster focus on the management of the movement of people and goods by various means of transportation, including roads, rail, air and water. Occupations range from operation and design of transportation systems to maintenance and repair on vehicles.

Things You Will Learn

  • Mechanical Principles – how vehicles operate from engines and transmissions to steering and braking systems.
  • Electrical Control Precision – how ABS brakes, electronic stability controls and climate controls operate.
  • Equipment Uses - the introduction of industry tools and the proper way to use and care for them.
  • Customer Service Principles – which include accuracy in troubleshooting, consistency and transparency in repairs, and having a positive interaction with customers.
