Health Sciences

The WCCT program of Health Sciences prepares students for a wide range of careers within the larger cluster. Classes at WCCT introduce students to that apply to any career in the health sciences field. Our program also gives students the opportunity during their 12th grade year to participate in an internship with a local health service provider and to gain real-world experience before attending college.

  • 11th Grade: Human Body Structure/Function Therapeutic Services
  • 12th Grade: Health Internship OR Nurse Aide Training

Health Science Careers

Bevill State provides opportunities for students to pursue various paths in the health field. BSCC offers programs for Associate Degree in Nursing, Licensed Practical Nurse, Practical Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, Surgical Technology, Sterile Instrument Technician, Mental Health, and Phlebotomy (Blood Donation).

College: Bevill State Community College

Bevill State offers Long Term Certificates in Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN), Practical Nursing (PN), and Emergency Medical Paramedic (EM3). BSCC also offers Associate’s Degrees in Nursing (ADN), Practical Nursing, and Emergency Medical Paramedic (EM3).

Bevill State has no minimum grade or score requirements for students who earn the Alabama High School Diploma, but all students must complete the COMPASS Placement Test prior to admission.
